Everyone is welcome at Scandic and we do our utmost to ensure that our hotels are accessible to all. Use your hearing loop at your meeting, hang your walking stick on its special holder at reception, read our safety instructions in Braille and satisfy your appetite at our food-for all-buffet. Design for all - in fact for everyone

The concept “Design for all” plays a key role in our accessibility work. Design for all means that an adapted room should be just as well designed as every other room, with smart solutions that go almost unnoticed except by those who really need them. Read more in our accessibility brochure.

How does a guest with a hearing disability hear the fire alarm? A vibrating fire alarm clock of course! This is just one of our clever solutions for guest with disabilities.

  • Meeting rooms without carpets

Scandic's accessibility standard

In consultation with organizations for people with special accessibility needs, our hotel guests, and team members, we have drawn up a checklist of 159 points which we call Scandic's accessibility standard. This standard encompasses everything we offer and is to be an integral consideration for all products and services at the hotel. At Scandic, our hotel staff is delighted to offer inclusive service to make life easier for all guests.
