Right in the centre of town, with a view over the canal and the greenery of the park, you’ll find Scandic Swania - a vibrant meeting place full of activity and energy but also a place for relaxation and hanging out. Our hotel is located next to the water, in the centre of town yet right in the middle of nature.
Behind the austere brick facade a warm and personal atmosphere awaits you. The interior design of our hotel was inspired by the forces of nature and the city’s hydropower industry. Modern design and soft, organic shapes intermingles with interesting details alluding to the power station aesthetic. The charming ceiling paintings from the early 1900s have of course been preserved. The thunderous waterfalls are located downstream from the hotel, but our rooms are quiet and peaceful. Plump up your pillows, snuggle down into your bed, forget about all the must-dos and enjoy the magical view. We have 201 rooms ranging from smart single rooms and cosy double rooms to large, spacious family rooms and comfortable suites. Take a dip in our pool and relax in the sauna. The ground floor of the hotel is a busy, vibrant place from morning to night. Wake up to a vast breakfast buffet with everything you could want and enjoy the view of the bridge that opens to let boats through. Scandic Swania is a vibrant meeting place where locals and visitors alike gather to create, take in the experience and have a nice time. We have conference facilities for up to 170 people and we can also arrange banquets for up to 400 people. Sink into a comfortable easy chair in the bar after a busy day. With its busy, welcoming atmosphere, the bar is the perfect place for a drink with friends and colleagues before dinner.
Trollhättan is the small town that’s all grown up. Everywhere you look, there is something new to discover - make an excursion to the waterfalls, take a look at the sluices, explore the Skogshöjden district or go for a walk along Trollhättan’s very own Walk of Fame. Scandic Swania is within walking distance of the Central Railway Station, restaurants, bars, cafés and shopping.
